Join us on October 26–27, 2026 at the Sheraton in West Des Moines for two dynamic days of professional development at ITAG's 2026 Annual Conference!

The mission of ITAG is to provide networking opportunities, to educate and provide support to educators of talented and gifted students, and to help parents, students, and educators advocate for talented gifted students and service. The purpose of the ITAG Annual Conference is to convene educators, administrators, and parents from across the state of Iowa, so they may network and learn from experts in the field on how to better support the educational needs of gifted children and youth. We are expecting more than 30 additional presenters and over 350 attendees.

This year, we are excited to welcome Dr. Catherine Little as our keynote speaker. Dr. Little is a leader in the field of gifted education and currently serves as the president of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). As a professor in giftedness, creativity, and talent development at the University of Connecticut, her extensive research focuses on professional learning, curriculum differentiation for advanced learners, and classroom questioning practices. She has also served as the principal investigator for multiple Javits-funded initiatives—including Project Focus, Project SPARK, and Project LIFT—which focus on helping schools recognize and respond to academic potential in underserved populations.
