Call for Mini-Presentations for a Roundtable Session

During one breakout session block at the ITAG Fall Conference, we are hosting a collection of MINI-SESSIONS! Modeled after NAGC's Lesson Roundtables, these 12 minute, hands-on or takeaway sessions will allow attendees to rotate several times and gather many ideas in less than an hour.

A Roundtable presentation usually offers a lesson, activity, routine, teacher-created resource, or process to share with others. You will present in a 12 minute window 3 times in a row.

Please note the requirements for this session type in the application - we'd love to have many, many ideas approved.

* Name of presenter?Roundtables are limited to one presenter, as space at each table will be limited.

* Email address of presenter?We will use this to contact you regarding your proposal's acceptance.

* Roundtable Session Title?Make this clear and snappy so that attendees know what your session is about and what they will take away from it.

* How have you used this session content with students in a K-12 setting?We want tried-and-true activities and ideas that have been used in a school setting.

* Explain what attendees will learn in your Roundtable Session. We are looking for advanced learning that aligns with evidence-supported practices in gifted education.

* I will provide either a printed handout or a link (using bitly, a QR code, etc.) to a handout.Attendees often request a takeaway that they can revisit back in their classrooms or share with others.

* I will focus on materials I have created myself; if I am modifying or adapting published materials, I will reflect fair use and copyright considerations. Respect copyright; cite sources; explain how your modifications and experience make this a great experience for students.

* I understand that I'm encouraged to bring manipulatives, devices, examples of student work, and other materials to help attendees dive in.

* I will plan for 8-9 minutes of interactive content, and about 3-4 minutes for questions.
